Dear,

 

Today I downloaded the latest firmware from the page for Archer C80 but I can't update the router.

Does anyone have a similar problem?

Any error message during the upgrade process ?

Are you certain that your router is EU version - on the bottom of the device there's a sticker with this info.

When downloaded from TP-Link support website the file has to be unzipped first and then uploaded to the device.

I have two pieces of Archer C80 and both devices are for the EU market, also on both devices there is a problem that they will not be updated to the latest firmware!

 

Of course, I know that the file must first be unpacked and then an update must be done, but when it is started via the "check for upgrades" command, the device notifies that there is no new update, while the new firmware can be downloaded from the site.

 

Probably the wrong configuration file was placed on the page in the firmware section for Archer C80?

Hi, this firmware you are trying to update is actually an older version, so there is no need to update it. You can verify the firmware version via the build number.

Thanks for the answer, but shouldn't it be the latest firmware in chronology because it says that: Published Date: 2021-01-27?

There was a historical background for this specific model and firmware, but I cannot explain that for you in details.wink

 

We will soon release a new firmware soon in weeks, please check it later and upgrade to that one.

I don't have that firmware on my HDD, I downloaded it 15 days ago and put it on the device and deleted it from the HDD.

I just don't understand why it is no longer available for download in the firmware section for Archer C80 ...?

 

At this link you have on the official TP-Link page for devices that are for the EU market. Just check which market your device is for!!!
