Model: Archer A10
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.6

Hello,
I just bought this router because my old one only had 20 slots to port forward with.
It would not let me do ranges. I read that you can do ranges like this,
ex: 27000:27050, 27056, 27057
It says "This range should be between 1 and 65535.
I tries 1:65535 , with the same result.

Then I tried 27056,27057, It said " invalid format"
Port range forwarding was the whole reason for getting a new router!

Also my router says it is and archer a8 no option to pick in drop down menu.

@CougarXR7 I cannot believe this router AC1900 Wi-Fi Router will not allow port ranges.
I fixed my issue with port forwarding by getting an ip and out from behind the router.

Thanks for helping!

I believe TP-Link routers only support hyphen (the minus sign - ) for defining port ranges.

@CougarXR7

Thanks for the help.

I tried ex. 27000-27030 in the external port and it took!
I tried that in the internal port and it gave me an "invalid format" in the Internal port box.

But then I tried just one port 27000 and it worked no errors.
Now I need to check and see if those ports are opened, will keep posting with results.
Thanks for helping!

@CougarXR7

Just to confirm, have you updated the A8 firmware to the latest? As far as I know, it should allow you to set a port range for the external, just leave the internet blank:

@CougarXR7

I updated the router and I could put the port range in external port but only one port in the in the internal.
But I should of left the internal  port blank.
Now I know, but  I got an ip and got out from behind the router, now no more port problems!
Thanks for replying.
