Model: Archer AX73
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.1 Build 20200908 rel.69273(5553)

Just got this router today to replace my older router. Set it up as a main router with wired lan connection to a secondary router. I used to be able to get 1Gbps LAN with the other older router but only 100mbps with this new AX73. I did a check on the admin page network map and it shows 1000Mbps Full duplex on internet and only 100Mbps on Lan1. I cannot find anywhere to configure this to 1000Mbps. Appereciate any guide to configure the ethernet speeds.

@FreakXL

Hello, what is the model number of the old router? Is the AX73 LAN connected to its WAN or LAN? Ensure its WAN/LAN do support 1000Mbps Full duplex.

What if you connect the AX73 LAN to a computer with 1000Mbps Ethernet adapter, will it negotiate at 1000Mbps or 100Mbps?

Try with a new Ethernet cable (Cat 5e/Cat 6) between the AX73 and the computer or the old router to confirm again.

@Kevin_Z

Swapped the port with a direct connection to a laptop and it gives the full 1000Mbps. Swapped back the LAN line to my secondary router and it gives 100Mbps

Older router is a Linksys 7500. Which manages to auto negotiate at 1000Mbps for the same LAN line.

A new LAN line is out of the question at the moment as the existing line is in laid in the conduits.

Thats why i was wondering if there is a way to force the port speeds to 1000Mbps? (Firmware settings or future Firmware updates in advanced mode)

@FreakXL  Nope, there is no such settings on the router web GUI to fix the LAN negotiation speed, you can check if there is any on the Linksys 7500.
