Hello, I have the same problem with sonoff devices. I tried all the suggestions in the thread, but none worked.

Do you have any recommendation?

 I have the same issue with deco x50 ! 

What is really interesting is that old devices that also only have 2.4 GHz can have no problem and can log on to the network without any problems. only the sonoff devices do not.

The problem with S26 and tplink AX3000

Alright, that is crazy. I had the same problem with Deco XE75 and it took a lot of effort to connect.
What I did two times in a row to confirm it works is:

1. I've created a IoT Network (App -> More -> IoT Network)
- Name: uppercase/lowercase mix for the name (i.e. only letters)

- Security: WPA2

- Bands: 2.4Ghz Only

Nothing else on the router side, actually everything else is the default;

2. on the eWeLink side:

- Add device, scroll to the bottom, Compatible mode and wait

3. on the Sonoff 4ch Pro device, turn on the "Compatible pairing mode":

- Click and hold Channel 1 (R1) button for 5-ish seconds while you see the WIFI LED to repeat two short blinks and one long blink, then:

- Click and hold again the Channel 1 (R1) button for 5-ish seconds while you see the WIFI LED to blink fast (i.e. no longer a long blink in the mix)

IMPORTANT: to confirm that this actually works - if you open your WIFI settings in the phone/laptop then you'll see a new hotspot called ITEAD**** something name - if you don't see it, then you haven't done the step 3. correctly, i.e. your device is not in Compatible pairing mode and have to more carefully run that step! I.e. this part has nothing to do with your TP-Link router!

4. Go back in the eWeLink app and now click Next button (i.e. continue were we left in the step 2.)

There, you'll be asked to enter 2.4Ghz pairing WIFI hotspot (name and password)  and continue to the next page.
 

IMPORTANT: that is NOT ITEAD**** hotspot claimed in some posts, that is your 2.4GHz WIFI hotspot (in my case is the new IoT WIFI network) that you are connected already on your phone.

5. After couple of seconds you're device will be found (i.e. in compatible mode the app will detect that the ITEAD**** hotspot is available) and will ask you to connect (i.e. currently you are connected to your 2.4Ghz WIFI hotspot) - the app will throw you in the system settings where you have to connect to that ITEAD**** hotsport, use the 12345678 password. Use the "back" button on your phone couple of times to go back to your eWeLink app. Once there the setup will continue (i.e. once connected to the ITEAD****, the app will read the device information and will send your 2.4GHz WIFI hotspot password).

Pretty much that is. Very, very confusing setup that I haven't expected.

Thanks for this procedure. Was the very easy way to connect one Sonoff Mini R2 to a D-Link DAP-1610 where the WiFi name was different than router WiFi name.
