TL-PA4010 Compatibility

I have an old TL-PA4010 - probably 5 - 7 years old. It has worked perfectly all that time, but today the Powerline LED is unstable - it is on/off intermittently. I have tried re-booting all aspects of the Wifi network, individually and all together. I suspect my TL-PA4010 has finally failed! But if anybody knows how to solve the problem I would be grateful.

However, the real question is will a new TL-PA4010 (V3 ??) be compatible with my existing TL-WPA4220 extenders which are of slightly newer vintage?

Excellent response: Precise and Concise + moving the PA4010 (where it has been for 6 months) to a different power socket worked!! Thank you, problem solved

AV600 / AV500 devices are compatible, so the new version PA4010 will work with WPA4220 as well.

Please remove the factors that could affects the power line environment as the FAQ below, and try a different socket for PA4010, if still the same, you could consider a new one.
