Solution Disable Onemesh Hidden network on Onemesh Routers

This Article Applies to: TP-Link Routers that supports Onemesh, such as Archer C6/A6/C7/A7/AX10/AX20/AX6000/AX11000, etc. Background: Some customers report their Onemesh routers are emitting a hidden network, which makes them confused and nervous as they cannot turn it off manually on the router web GUI. The hidden wireless network is used to build up the mesh wireless network system, and it cannot be detected by the common wireless devices. You can refer to this article for more details: https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/stories/detail/728 Just like the existing Deco mesh package products, the specific hidden network with high-intensity random password can guarantee the security of the network. So no worries. Available Solutions: However, if you still want to disable the Onemesh hidden network on the router, update the router firmware to the latest, and you will get the option to switch it off. Note: Be aware that the Onemesh option is not available when the router is working in Access Point mode. If you need to disable the Onemesh hidden network also, please switch to Router mode, disable Onemesh, then switch back to Access Point mode. For Example, the models below have already added the Onemesh option on the latest official firmware, which can be downloaded manually from the TP-Link website, or updated via the router web GUI / Tether app: Archer A7_V5_201029 and newer versions Archer C7_V5_201030 and newer versions Archer A6(US)_V2_210226 and later versions Archer C6(US)_V2_210226 and later versions Archer C80(US)_V1_1.11.30 Build 220624 and later versions Archer C64(EU)_V1_1.11.30 Build 220624 and later versions Archer C6(EU)_V2_1.3.7 Build 20220613 and later versions Archer A6(EU)_V2_1.3.7 Build 20220613 and later versions For other models that support Onemesh, but you cannot find an Onemesh ON/OFF switch on its web GUI, please keep an eye on the official website or router web GUI for the new updates, then determine if the Onemesh ON/OFF is available. If still no, please wait patiently and there would be new official firmware in the near future. Related Articles: Disable Onemesh Hidden network on DSL modem Disable Hidden SSID on the 3G/4G modem

It's quite possible that the early EasyMesh FW allows the hidden networks in AP mode, even EasyMesh feature has been disabled in "Router mode".
Thanks for reporting this behavior.

@terziyski It could be.
@Macrox Have you disabled both EasyMesh and Onemesh in Router mode? Please try to disable them both, then switch to AP mode to confirm if there is still a hidden network.

@Macrox Can you please once again if the EasyMesh is disabled? If it is disabled, but the router still emits a hidden network, I assume the improvement that made to the Onemesh may not implement on the new EasyMesh.
Please let me know if you want to work with our support engineers to check it out.
