Model: TL-WR841N_EU
Hardware Version: V11
Firmware Version: 3.16.9 Build 160325 Rel.62500n

I've attached a diagram of my home network for clarity's sake. Solid lines are ethernet connections, dotted ones are wireless connections.

In my home network I have a main modem/router and a bunch of other access points around the house, all connected to the main router via ethernet cable.

One of these access points is a TL-WR841N which I have configured to act as an access point. I have done so by plugging the ethernet cable into its LAN1 port, disabling DHCP and assigning it a fixed IP on the home network (192.168.1.2).

I am able to access the control panel for the TL-WR841N from anywhere on the network.

However, I am unable to "see" the devices connected to it if I'm connected to another access point.

Referencing the diagram, Laptop A is able to ping Desktop, however Laptop B is not.

I also have a server running on the network, and that can be "seen" from all access points.

What can be done so that I can see Desktop from anywhere on the network?

Here's some info from the control panel.

Have you tried to ping the Desktop from Laptop A when it is connected to AP (192.168.1.3) ?

Or ping the Desktop from Laptop B when it is connected to 841N (192.168.1.2)

This way you'll know if the problem is connected with 841N (192.168.1.2) or AP (192.168.1.3).

841N configured the way you did as AP should work straight-forward - here's (Case 2) the guide for that.

Yes, to be clear I can't see the desktop with any device if I'm connected to the main router (192.168.1.1) or to any of the other access points (192.168.1.3), (192.168.1.4). But I can see it with all devices if connected to 192.168.1.2

What about ping from Laptop A to Laptop B and vice versa ?

There's nothing more you can do with 841N - you're already with its latest FW and the configuration is fine.
