But you’re going to be using third party software to do it. Basically Google Assistant/HomeKit/Alexa. If you really just want to use everything in the Hue app then you’re gonna have to buy a Hue smart plug.
If you’re going to be wading further into the smart home ocean anytime soon, I’d save your money and start setting up in one of the ecosystems. They will tie in both your Hue Bridge and your smart plug. (Just a note, TP Link smart plug doesn’t work natively with HomeKit, but I have them working in my setup)
