I am trying to filter sites and mobile applications on my wifi guest network.

I created a list of sites and apps by urls and IP addresses, e.g whatsapp, facebook etc. as the target.

For the hosts, I used the range of IPs set by the DHCP.

The filter is successfully blocking computers that connect to the network but mobile phones are bypassing the filter and connecting as usual.

The phones are pulling the IPs from the DHCP range but for some reason they are bypassing the filter.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

@Djaggs

You might enable the Private Address on those phones, check this link for more details.

Hi,

The router is located in a small office where members of the public access it. Im trying to block public access to certain sites. I would not be able make changes to the devices connecting to the network.
