Wire Backhaul Units
Does the Ethernet cable between the 1st mesh device and the second HAVE to be a direct connection or can it go through a switch ?
I would have a Deco x20 downstairs obviously plugged into the modem/router. I also have an Ethernet cable from the modem/router to the first floor where the switch is. It feeds my Mac and Steam deck. Could I also plug the second Mesh device into the switch ?

@Alexandre. Thanks
That's a great page. I will be setting my first Deco, as I say in AP mode so wiring the second through a switch is handy. It says set them up as WiFi first before wiring them up which is interesting

Configure Main Deco. Bring your Satellite Decos for setup to the same room where Main Deco is, so that they have good WiFi link to each other. After Satellite Decos successful setup, switch Deco mesh to AP mode: How to set up Deco to work in Access Point mode
After that, take Satellite Decos to their permanent places and connect them with Ethernet cable to your home network.
