Hi everyone,

 

I have been using router Archer C54 for a while now, and it work great, but it seem that I can't get Port Forwarding to works

I did follow this guide to debug the issue, but it seem that nothing works

 

I have a spare PC, and I am using VirtualBox on, and I did make sure that this VM is connected internally

 

The Archer C54 is running on IP 192.168.1.1 with Router Mode(Current) and DHCP

 

My VM is running on vagrant and IP 192.168.1.51, internally, I can test connection to that VM

 

I setup a Port Forwarding on 22 private and forward that port to 8822 public

 

But when I test the connection from the public, there is no response

 

Hope that someone can help me with this.

Hi,

 

The first thing I would check is that the Windows Firewall of the computer running VirtualBox is allowing this remote connection to pass through.

 

The firewall settings for remote connections are separate from those for local connections.

 

What I mean is that it's possible local connections are allowed to pass through the firewall, while remote connections are blocked.

 

What about the other port forwarding to the IP address 192.168.1.10? Is it also not working?

  @woozle Nothing works, my VirtualBox when I bring it to another network, it use Port Forwarding fine, so I think that it the Archer C54 is the problem

I did turn off all firewall on the Windows PC, but still can't get the Archer C54 to use Port Forwarding to works

If you suspect this is a bug in the firmware of the Archer C54, then maybe update it to the latest firmware version 1.12.0 Build 221216 and see if that makes any difference.

  @woozle I have upgraded to the newest firmware but Port Forwarding still not working, do you have any others recommendation?
