Can’t access local devices using browser
Hello, I am a new and entry-level Omada user. My setup includes OC200 Controller, ER605 Router, SG2218P Switch, and two APs. Internet traffic is fine. The problem I am having is I can’t locally access devices like security cameras by typing their IP into a browser on my Mac. The cameras themselves are working fine on the network. I assume I just need to tick a setting on the Controller or Router, but I do not know which one.

Hi @tempfi
Thanks for posting in our business forum.
1. Verify if your cameras are accessible from the other devices. Use the cellphone browser and give it a try.
2. Did you set up the ACL? Do you have any VLAN interfaces? What's your network like?
By default, it should be accessible without anything configured. If your camera has a web-hosted interface, you should be trouble-free.
So I need more details to judge what is wrong.

@Clive_A 1. Same failure from cell phone browser. Safari on my iPhone says "Safari can't open the page. The error was "The URL can't be shown."
2. No I did not. That seems like an unnecessary step to simply access local devices. Is it required?
I provided what my network was like in my original post.
To be clear, both my computer and my phones CAN access the cameras when using the app from the camera manufacturer. What DOES NOT work is accessing them from a browser window. This worked perfectly fine when I let my AT&T BGW320 route the traffic. But ever since I switched to Omada, it's been broken.

So here's the thing, by default, you should be able to access it without any trouble like I said in the earlier reply. If there is nothing configured, the web port is also open on your camera, you should be trouble-free from accessing it.
ACL is of course unnecessary. I am asking because I am helping troubleshoot. I have to ask or there is no point in asking here. So, no ACL, that's affirmative. No interfaces?
I need to know what your network interfaces look like because I am not sure if this relates to the mDNS when you have any other interfaces.
I cannot judge the problem now based on this little information. I assume that you have configured something on your end. Or you missed something. Or it is your camera's fault. So, I can only rule this out one by one.
But first, you have to verify that the camera web port is open. You can use telnet IP port to give it a try and see if you can log in. You can share this screenshot here.
Think you should switch back the old router and do the Wireshark and post the results here or filter yourself and find out the reason why. Compare the results when using the different routers.
