There is no default password for Archer AX23 routers. 

 

A new Archer AX23 router doesn't have any password. When the user tries to log into a new Archer AX23 for the first time the user will be asked to setup a password before being let in.

 

It is not possible to configure a new Archer AX23 router without setting up the local password first. Neither via the web interface, nor via the Tether app.

 

If you don't know the current local password, then the only way to recover from this is to completely reset the AX23 to factory default settings. 

 

The password "admin" (together with the username "admin") was the default login on older router models from TP-Link.
