Hi,

I have EAP225, TL-SF1009P Desktop Switch, Omada Controller and Deco X50s

My internet is Starlink with Lan Cable is connected to 1pc Deco x50.

Deco x50 is then connected to TL-SF1009P Desktop Switch (Port 3).

Omada Controller is also connected to TL-SF1009P (Port 1)

I have EAP225 and 6 more Deco x50.

My question are as follows:

1.Do i still need the EAP225 or do i advance setting Deco x50 to become a Access point instead of Router?

2. If i connect EAP225 to the TL-SF1009P, can the wifi be repeated to the 6pcs of deco x50?

My goal is to be able to have a voucher like system which requires the Omada Controller.

Please help, I am still learning these things and that there is no guide on this scenario in youtube wherein Omada controller voucher can be use to Deco x50

  @gameoverpoi

Hi, welcome to the community.

Deco X50 doesn't support Voucher Authentication so you still need EAP225. The WiFi of EAP225 can't be repeated by Deco.

Deco X50 might not be a suitable model for your current situation. It might be much better if you replace all Deco units with EAP Mesh Access Points.

Starlink router----TL-SF1009P----multiple EAP Access points

                                                \----Omada Controller

TL-SF1009P is up to 100mbps and maybe you could replace it with a gigabit switch as well.

Thank you very much and best regards.

@David-TP Thank you for the insight. I will upgrade once i got the fund to upgrade the TL-SF1009P since i just bought it by lazada few days ago.

Instead of a EAP445 can i use my TP Link N300 WA855RE for now to extend the range of EAP225?
