XE75 Pro Cannot update firmware
After having to deal with a product that is unusable because of constant deconnections (see other posts about it), I have been trying to revert to an older firmware (or just to try the new 1.2.10 one), and the Web interface just says "Operation Completed", but then, nothing happens, no reboot, no update. Stuck on the buggy 1.2.9.
This is really unacceptable to sell a product so bugged, I paid 500 euros for a 3 pack, and I can basically put all of them in the trash and look for more solid alternative. 😒
Never again TP-Link.

I've had the same issue when attempting to upgrade when connected remotely to the network via OpenVPN. The solution that worked for me was to upgrade while connected to the router WiFi directly.
Ticket reference : TKID240149896, a confirmed bug reproduced by engineers.

The XE75's have been a nightmare. I replaced an M5 network with them and its been nothing but constant headaches.
What I had to do for some was disconnect and set up a new, isolated network. Then update the firmware. Took forever. 1.2.10 is better than 1.2.9, for sure, but still problematic. Especially the 2.4GHz band and IOT devices.

Hi, Thank you tried to unplug the two satellite Deco XE75 Pro and leave the main Deco only, then update the firmware again to see whether there would be any difference.
If it still has the same error, I'd like to follow up on your case via email and consult the senior engineers for further assistance.
By the way, can I have the model number of the devices that frequently dropped out?

I have already disconnected entirely the other Decos because they were not working. But the firmware update doesn't work with just one Deco either. It says "Operation succeeded" but it didn't. I saw on the forum that it has been a long standing issue and it seems that there are no fixes. I have also tried to reset the Deco without much success. When logging on the web interface, there are no logs related to a failure of update.
The Model is a Deco XE75 Pro EU/v2.

Thank you for this. I was able to upgrade to 1.2.10 via WiFi. It was quite a pain because for each satellite, I had to create a new WiFi network, connect to it and do the upgrade.
At least, It seems that 1.2.10 is more stable than 1.2.9, so it was worth the upgrade.
