  @Shy_Guy

Hi, welcome to the community.

May I know your current firmware of Deco X50?

Would there be any specific reason why you need a beta firmware?

Wait for your reply and best regards.

  @David-TP thanks for the warm welcome! and well after checking the forums i realized it isnt beta, but i want the latest firmware with wireguard and other vpn support

my deco x50 v1 is running on 2.0.10 Build 20240821 Rel. 48325 which doesnt have those features

im not sure why it's versioned with 2 when the latest fw is 1.6.1 Build 20241010, maybe my ISP (bell canada) has custom firmware for it? so in this case would i need to follow the downgrade procedure?

and side question if youre able to answer - if i were to build the firmware using the source from the gpl code centre, would that work just out of the box? or is there some extra config needed?

sorry for the lengthy comment, but i appreciate you trying to help!

  @Shy_Guy https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/deco-x50/v1/#Firmware Seems for X50 V1.0 latest firmware released 'Deco X50(EU)_V1_1.6.3 Build 24112112' posted 27/12/24 (Which now allows you to finally MANUALLY SET the WIFI Channel). However, i have had some devices disconnect so on the safe side perhaps use the earlier one: 'Deco X50(EU)_V1_1.6.1 Build 20241010'. If the firmware is not available via the app, then i usually download the firmware from that link above, and then use the deco weblogin with your local wifi - In most cases that is http://192.168.68.1/

You can then login to your TPlink account, select Advanced, Firmware Upgrade, and point to the .BIN file you downloaded.
