Hi,

Is it possible to manage NAT loopback on this appliance?

I have a server in my network, but when I’m on the same network, the link redirecting to my server doesn’t work.

Do you have any solutions for this issue?

Archer AX55 supports NAT loopback.

For your issue, please try the following suggestions:

  • Check Router Settings:

    • NAT Loopback Support: Log into your router's settings and check if NAT loopback is supported and enabled. Look for terms like "NAT reflection" or "hairpinning."
  • Use Local IP Address:

    • Instead of using the public IP or domain name, use the server's local IP address (e.g., http://192.168.x.x). This bypasses the need for NAT loopback entirely.
  • Update DNS Records:

    • If you're using a domain name, you can create a DNS record that points to the local IP address of the server when accessed from within the network. This method eliminates the need for NAT loopback.
  • Router Firmware Update:

    • Ensure your router's firmware is up to date, as newer firmware may offer better NAT loopback support or configuration options.
  • Firewall Settings:

    • Check the firewall settings on both the server and the router to ensure that traffic is not being blocked.
  • Port Forwarding:

    • If NAT loopback is not available, you can set up port forwarding rules that allow connections to the server from the public IP address to the local IP address.
  • Test Connectivity:

    • Use tools like ping or traceroute from a device on the same network to the public IP and local IP to confirm connectivity.
