Solution Archer C80 V2.2/Archer C64 V1 Freezes intermittently After Updating Firmware to 1.14.0/1.14.3

This Article Applied to:
Archer C80 V2.20 1.14.0 Build 240617 Rel.39521n
Archer C64 V1 1.14.3 Build 241025 Rel.69770n
Phenomenon Description:
We've received users' feedback that the Archer C80 V2.20/C64 V1 may freeze intermittently after updating the firmware to 1.14.0/1.14.3. This issue occurs when the Access Control feature is enabled while setting up a mesh network, causing the device to become unstable and, in some cases, freeze after a short period of operation.
tapac3 has detailed the issue he encountered in this thread.
Workaround:
We understand this can be frustrating. We recommend trying one of the following methods to restore connectivity.
Method 1: Temporarily disable Access Control on the router until an official fix is released.
Method 2: Install the provided beta firmware on your Archer C80 V2.20/Archer C64 V1.
Our development team has provided beta software to address this issue. If you're experiencing a similar issue, please upgrade and install the beta software on your Archer C80 V2.20/Archer C64 V1, then check if the router works properly.
Archer C80_V2.20_1.14.0 Build 240617 (Beta firmware)
Archer C64_V1_1.14.3 Build 241025 (Beta firmware)
Note: Please be sure you have read the Terms and Conditions for TP-Link Beta Firmware before proceeding.
Additional Information
If neither of the above suggestions works, please provide the following details:
• Frequency of Freeze: How long does the Archer C80/C64 work properly before freezing? How do you recover the connection?
• Connected Devices. What devices are connected to the Archer C80/C64? Are there any EasyMesh devices? What are the models? Try removing the EasyMesh devices from the network and monitor the connectivity.
Thank you for your attention!

@Kevin_Z When router wifi say no internet then router web interface also unavailable. Router on off solve this problem temporary .
Well, I have the same identical issues on 4 of my routers. All of them are on firmware 1.14.3 Build 241025 Rel.69770n(4555), Archer C64 1.0.
The router freezes, all the LEDs are lit up at once. I can connect to wifi most of the time when this happens but there is no internet, and the admin console is unreachable either through Tether app or via browser.
I have 4 of these routers with same firmware and hardware version. They are in 2 different houses.
In one household main router is configured and connected to WAN, second router set up with easymesh and Ethernet backhaul.
In the second household main router is configured and connected to WAN, second router is set up with easymesh over wifi.
Power cycling the main router fixes the issue. I might add that the issue occurs more often now, when it is hot, as main routers are in the attic, close to a POE powered reveiving antenna. Power cycling the main routers fixes the issue, there is no need to power cycle the easymesh "child" router, just the main one.
In one household Acces control is being used while in the other one it is disabled. The issue occurs more often on the device with Access Control enabled. The feature is needed.

Hi,
If that problem is bothering you so much, then perhaps you should consider updating the "main" C64 router with that beta firmware version 1.14.3 Build 241128. It has fixed the problem for some users.
Is there a particular reason why you have avoided updating to that version so far?
