Hello everyone,

My ISP requires a VLAN ID to connect to the Internet via PPPoE. However, on my TP-Link Archer BE800, the VLAN ID can only be set under the IPTV menu.

I need to use Link Aggregation with the two LAN 2.5G ports of the router, but I can't do that because it requires disabling IPTV.

If I disable IPTV, I lose the VLAN ID field needed for my Internet connection.

Ideally, the VLAN ID for Internet should be separate from the IPTV settings, which I don’t need.

Has anyone found a way to solve this issue?

Thanks,
Christian

Hi @chrsz,

Hi, thanks for posting in the TP-Link Community, we really appreciate all your feedback and feature requests here.

While we don't have any specific details to share on whether the VLAN feature will be available for all home routers, I will definitely log this feature request and pass it on to the team.

May I know who your Internet service provider is? In addition to the required VLAN ID information, is there any other information you would like to add to the router?

If you have any other feature requests, please feel free to let us know, and we will be happy to send them to you.

Yes I do not see this feature nor a Wirless Access List cause there are times you just want to block certain devices from connecting wirelessly but not Wired lets say cause you may want it to connect to a second BE800 you are running in AP Mode. There is a Ton of Processing Power here and Internal networks contain much addressing space one should be able to provide VLANS and all sorts of options for this device I mean if you guys don't want to do it turn the firmware over to Open Source give them the info they need drivers root nfo etc.... They will take care of it for you free of charge :) And they can even ditch the cellphone connectivity jazz and id's. Lots of good hardware in this unit but its limited in features by choice of firmware development so much could be done with all this hardware but it is unfortunately handicapped. The guys at Tomato would likely be glad to support it if you shared the info with them they just released tomato64 so I'm sure the IPQ would work well if they had the drivers, and info they need for all the hardware. They turned that cheap Flint2 router into something that rivals many routers why not make some sales and open source your stuff that part I don't get entirely.

Please add it to the next release. Archer BE800(EU)_V1_1.3.1 Build 20250724 does not include any changes related.

New Features/Enhancement:
1. Newly support VPN Kill Switch function to ensure data security, which allows disconnecting the internet for VPN clients once if the VPN tunnel drops.
2. Enhanced the stability and security of device.

Bug Fixes:
1. Fixed the bug that when ISP only sent one DNS server, the router adds an additional default DNS server and causes DNS resolution issue.

Note:
This firmware release cannot be downgraded to the previous version.
