Guide to update firmware on WA850RE?

I've been experiencing some connections drops and I can only get the job out of the wa850re if I reset it over and over as the connections fails after a few hours. After reading reviews mentioning to upgrade firmware I want to give it a shot. However I have no idea where to start, if anyone would care to help I would be greatful. Thanks!

I upgraded the firmware last night, the wa850re now doesn't work at all. I have reset and connected to my network and full connection is shown on devices but the internet doesn't work because the IP address and the router are not what they are when the WA850RE is disconnected.

I see that TL-WA850RE doesn't get an IP address from the main router.
Try to set TL-WA850RE as "Static IP" and turn off the "DHCP server" on TL-WA850RE.

For exmaple, if the router's IP is 192.168.1.1, manually set TL-WA850RE's IP as 192.168.1.254, make sure the two IP on the same network subnet, the FAQ has already described how to set TL-WA850RE as static IP.

The ip from the router is 192.168.1.254 and my ISP is BT or British Telecom.
