Connection Problem

Firmware Version : 1.0.0 Build 121121 Rel.08870
ISP : BSNL
When I put my userID and password in the interface setup in internet tab for PPPoE connection and trying to connect within the router it is not connecting, but I can use it fine as a modem only by connecting to internet from windows 8 from network and sharing settings. And the Internet LED is not glowing although ADSL LED is glowing. When I run diagnostics everythings PASS except 'Ping Primary Domain Name Server' which is SKIPPED and 'Ping www.yahoo.com' which is FAIL. I have done hard reset using reset button and soft reset from within the web management page and used Quick Setup Wizard again and again but no effect. So currently I am unable to use it as a router and modem at a time, but I can connect to internet using Ethernet cable and only using it as modem.
