Model: Archer BE800
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.6 Build 20240808 rel.26673(4555)

I noticed that the SFP+ can't be used as a LAN port. It just doesn't work. I want to connect my switch via 10G SFP+ and I can't.

Hi@szymko,

SFP+ ports are typically found on high-end networking equipment such as Archer AXE300 and WiFi 7 Routers Archer BE800 etc., which can be used for LAN or WAN connection in the four common application scenarios:
    1. High-Speed WAN Connectivity: Leveraging SFP+ Ports for Direct Fiber Optic Connection and High-Speed Internet Access.
    2. Ethernet Conversion: Utilizing SFP+ Electrical Port Modules for WAN Connectivity with Ethernet Modems.
    3. High-Speed LAN Communication: Enhancing Local Area Networks with SFP+ Optical and Electrical Port Modules for Fast LAN Communication.
    4. Ethernet Backhaul EasyMesh Network: Creating a High-Speed Ethernet Backhaul Network by Connecting Multiple EasyMesh Routers through SFP+ Ports.
For more detailed information, please refer to this thread:  Common Application Scenarios of SFP+ Interface.

@Joseph-TP Hi, I wanted to use SFP+ port in 3rd scenario to connect to Hisource 4x2.5G + 2xSFP+ switch to extend number of LAN ports with 10G link, by using DAC cable. This worked with both Asus RT-BE88U and Ubiquiti Dream Router 7, but not BE800.

I switched to different SFP+ DAC cable with same results. I tested with these cables so far:

Hi@szymko,

We cannot make sure how the DAC cable works with the Archer BE800/900 and AXE300. It's mainly recommended to use the Optical SFP+ module or AOC cable.

I tried two more DAC cables and one AOC cable, as support suggested with no luck.
