Hello everyone, I have a speed problem with my router that I bought very recently, to summarize my house is large and I need two routers to work well. I have 600mb fiber optic internet to provide internet to another point in my house I bought the EC225 router, what happens I want to take advantage of the 600mbs from my provider but it is limited to only 100, I already tried to change the speed from the tplinkwifi.net panel but when I change to 1000mbs full duplex the internet simply stops working on the router, I have to put it back to 100 or auto. All my cables are CAT5E.

Usually this limitation comes from a faulty ethernet cable. Replacing with another, quality made cable of CAT 5E or above should resolve this issue.

EC220-G5 is a customized device specifically designed for local Service Providers. Its software is tailored to meet the unique requirements of these providers, ensuring alignment with their specific needs. While our technical support team is adept at providing general guidance and suggestions for products with standard, generic firmware. However, due to the specialized nature of the firmware on your device, our ability to provide troubleshooting may be limited.

We can certainly offer some troubleshooting tips that may help resolve your issue. Please consider the following:

  • To verify wired(Ethernet) speed of your Router, please connect the PC directly into the LAN ports of the Router, make sure all Ethernet cables are CAT5E and above.
  • Disable QoS, please access http://tplinkwifi.net and go to Advanced >> QoS to disable it.
  • Disable Parental Control, please go to Advanced >> Parental Control to disable it.

If the problem persists after trying these steps, we recommend contacting the technical support of your Service Provider who supplied the device, as they are best suited to provide the necessary assistance for your device.
