And the sad part is, is TP-Link's knows it, yet fail to acknowledge it. Just see the thread you link above. Same issue that's been brought up 100 times, yet the close the thread with no solution.

I also think its hilarious that they sticky a "solved" thread, that isn't solved at all. Amateur hour at its best.

I completely agree with you.

TP-Link know about this issue but don't accept that there is one.

I reported it to them a couple of years ago on the TP-Link adapters that I was using then, they did a lot of work on it but never fixed it. I also reported it to them about 6 months ago, different adapters but same issue. They even gave me a beta version of the firmware, which I thought would fix it but it didn't.

I run a little program called "Ping Plotter Freeware" from my PC to the router with a "trace delay" of 2.5 seconds which actually keeps the link alive all the time so I don't get the drops on the PowerLine link.

I am certain that the issue is in the low level firmware, link level, between the Powerline devices. I am also certain that if the had a keep-alive running between the Powerline devices we wouldn't be seeing the issue that all of us are complaining about.

Why doesn't TP-Link finally sort this out???

Do we know which powerline adapters are affected?

Is it worth me buying some TL-PA6010KIT AV600 adapters? or would i be in exactly the same place?

Even easier on any system with a full OS (Windows/OSX/Linux) is to open a command prompt and run the ping command. This can be automated to start at system boot, and even run headless (with no window).

If you experienced it with PA411 then you will likely experience it with PA6010. The only advice I can give is to try another brand.

On one can make a decision for you. PA6010KIT is newer than PA411KIT.

It's not really a philosophical question. I'm not really asking if the product is right for me, worth my money, or that kind of thing. I'm asking if the TL-PA6010KIT AV600 is faulty in the same was as the POS PA411KIT is.
