  @Jonskif

Hi, welcome to the community.

The R&D team might have their firmware release schedule for Deco X80-5G, and it is suggested to pay attention to the firmware release notification in the Deco APP.

Have you experienced any performance issues when Deco X80-5G automatically selected the LTE/5G working bands?

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

correct poor performance, when using band combination B1,N28, good download and upload, mostly router is using B1,N28, good download but poor upload, This is why there should be a way tp lock bands

Poor firmware, i also struggle with 5g bands on the X80 router. Lock band would be great. It always choose the 4g bands, even when i have a 5g tower yards away. If i reboot the x80 deco, it finds the 5g tower fast, and i have downloads like 190 Mbps, but after after a few minutes it is back on 4g, and i have 12 Mbps . I remeber i had a huawei 4g+ cell router, i could lock bands, and boom.. 90 Mbps constant.

In an email i got from Tplink support, they clearly said the X80 does not support N28 Band. That kinda made me a little bit angry, as it is sold in a country that use N28 bands " The antenna on the X80-5G was specifically designed to enhance certain frequency bands, but the N28 band is not one of them. This is a hardware limitation, meaning the antenna cannot improve signal strength or performance for this specific band. Unfortunately, this cannot be changed or optimized through a firmware update."

Hello I have been using an X80-5G

As a main deco, paired with 4x M5 as the rest of the mesh. I'm using 5G/4G mobile internet only. And I'm in Australia

It keeps getting stuck needing reboot (manual reboot) software reboot doesn't work when it gets stuck. pretty annoying. Sometime daily sometime every 3 days or so.

When checking for an update it says I'm on the latest but the version seems pretty outdated 2.1.1 Build 20230410 Rel.78273

Aren't there more recent versions and when is the latest one being released?
and would the above issue be fixed?

Thanks
