Model: Archer BE700
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.1 Build 20241115 rel.18772(4155)

Hello,

MODEL - ARCHER BE700 , THIS MODEL WASN'T AVAILABLE IN THE DROP DOWN MENU SELECTION.  THIS IS NOT AN ARCHER BE800.

I have been getting lag spikes with Archer BE700 (BE15000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7) Router.  I have looked into all possible causes over many forums, yet I am still having trouble.  Noticed one of the most recommended solution is to turn off the EasyMesh option, which hasn't changed anything. Tried running with and without MLO Network,  OFDMA/MU-MIMO  option on and off, Smart Connect on and off and still getting lag spikes. I am on a fiber optic line and changed to this router recently. Previously I was using TP-Link Archer AX73 with no issues.

My understanding is that Archer BE700 is still relatively new.  Any recommendations, suggestions?

Hi@Laropade,

Thank you for reporting your issue to our community.

May I know if your network topology diagram is as follows: ISP device—main router BE700 )))((( satellite router AX73)))(((client devices

(Note: — stands for wired connection,)))((( stands for wireless connection )

How did you test the Lag? Could you take screenshots of test results and send here?

Have you tested the wired connections? Please use the command to ping the gateway for a long time to compare whether the wired connection is stable?

Here are some suggestions may help you:

  • Please change DNS to 8.8.8.8(Google DNS)and 1.1.1.1(Cloudflare):How to Change the DNS servers
  • Disable QoS, please access http://tplinkwifi.net and go to Advanced >> QoS to disable it.
  • Disable SIP ALG and UPNP, please go to Advanced >> NAT Forwarding >> UPNP to disable UPNP, go to Advance >> Security to disable SIP ALG.

Would you mind collecting a backup file for us to analyze?

How to create and restore from a backup file on your TP-Link Router

Please email the file to support.forum@tp-link.com, attaching [Forum ID 814042] and details, and we will have a dedicated person to assist in analysis and follow-up.
