Model: Archer C20
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: OpenWRT

I have flashed the latest OpenWrt successfully, yet the performance is underwhelming due to the lack of hardware offloading.
I would like to flash the stock, yet the normal TFTP recovery doesn't work with this device. The stock firmware bin file (properly renamed into tp_recovery.bin) puts the router into a boot loop.
There is a suggesting to trigger the recovery mode by writing magic bytes with "printf \\xef\\xcd\\xab\\x89 > /dev/mtdblock8", while on openwrt, yet the it doesn't work either.
The word is that I need a cut-down version of the firmware in order to flash stock over TFTP.
My device is AC20(EU) Ver.:5.0. S/N:22295K2007467.

Can someone share the stock irmware bin file suitable for TFTP flashing?

  @RomanShein

Hi,

Here is a post that I found on the OpenWrt forum.

  @woozle Thanx!
For anyone with the same problem. I confirm that https://forum.openwrt.org/t/porting-firmware-to-tp-link-archer-c20-v5/35512/85 provided the solution. I just flashed the provided tp_recovery.bin using OpenWRT GUI (not TFTP) and instantly returned to stock firmware!
