TP link app (iphone) is just shocking.....am I doing something wrong?

Hello All.
I have had a set of Deco E3's for a couple of years. I added a set of 3 S3s last year and it all seems to work ok. I have never had much joy with the app outside actually setting the units up, and even that felt hit and miss. The app doesnt seem to refresh, if a unit is offline it wont update. I sometimes even reinstall the app to get it to reflect what is actually happening. (FW 1.6.1) TNow I am getting the "unable to find the main deco" error? buth the main deco seems to be online? I also cant login to the web interface. It takes the password and does nothing. Any ideas?

I haven't seen a model as "Deco S3" and I think you might refer to "Deco M3(1*Deco M4+2*Deco M3W)"?
- So are there 1*Deco E4+1*Deco M4 and 4*Deco M3Ws in total?
Can I have some pictures of the current network map, such as:
Did you set Deco into "wireless router" mode or "Access Point" mode?

You are right, I have some E4's and S4's, see the map below. I have the setup as Access Point, with a network cable from my route to the main Deco. The wifi is turned off on the router leaving the mesh to do the magic.
