TP-link USB-C to RJ45 showing network light flashing but the Internet isn't working

I purchased USB-C to RJ45 adpater.
Although a flashing light is showing, my laptops don't connect to the Internet. I have tried multiple ethernet cables with it.
I have tested this on my MacBook Pro running the latest OS and also a work laptop running Windows 10. I have an existing Belkin adapter which is working with the cables I've tested the new adpter with, so I don't know what the issue is.
I have already reached out to the seller, Cable Monkey.

I resolved the issue by restarting my router, which wasn't something I thought to try at first.

I tired to edit my post to correct a typo but it says I can only post once in 24 hours. It should of course read adapter and not adpter.
Following on from my earlier post, I have now found that the tp-link works when it is plugged via an ethernet cable, into my router.
However, when it goes through by Planet 16 port Gigabit switch or bypassing that but still via the network ports I have in the different rooms in my house, it doesn't work, even though a pre-existing Belkin adapter does work in all these cases.
I cannot even log on to my Arris router page on 192.168.1.254.
I have logged on to my router via WiFi and it shows this device as pennding with an ip address ending in 25.
Under DHPC it doesn't show up. If I try to add the mac address manually and assign it an IP address, I get the error that the mac address is being used host 22.
On my Mac, the ip address for the device is ends with 53 and not 25.
Another interesting point is I had to post this in the accessories forum and not the adapter forum, even though it says adapter on the packaging.

Hi@Infobleep,
Thank you for contacting our community.
Restarting the router usually causes: clearing the DHCP lease and refreshing the ARP cache: clearing may cause.
These may be the reasons for the adapter to reconnect to the network.
Your troubleshooting experience will also be helpful to other users. Thank you again for sharing~

@Infobleep I also had a weird issue where my TP-Link USB-C to RJ45 adapter showed flashing network lights but no actual internet. While troubleshooting, I also checked my Epson printer, which was acting up too. Used the Epson Resetter from resetterepson_com to fix the printer side—super helpful tool. Still figuring out the network issue, but at least the printer's back on track!
