Hi,

I'm looking for some help on understanding and controlling the network map for my P9s.

I have 3 units, main in connected to the modem in the lounge at the front of the house, a second in the back bedroom (upstairs) and the third in a garden room. I have located the second and third units so there is line of sight between them.

The garden room has a 4K TV in it so I'm streaming content to watch. The quality sometimes drops for a several second or a stream takes time to load. When looking at the network map the garden room connection varies. Mostly it's wifi to the lounge (which seems like worse physically) sometimes it's wifi to back bedroom and very occasionally powerline.

Is there a way to fixed the connection to my choosing? Will the connection route change based on the data transmission rate? I think I've noticed that the powerline kicks in then streaming 4K.

Thanks

Hi, welcome to the community.

Thank you very much for your time and patience.

The Powerline Backhaul is closely related to the electric wiring system. Please refer to this post to reduce the powerline interference:

Improve Powerline Backhaul on Deco P9

After that, I left a message with the latest beta firmware for Deco P9. If possible, please try to install this version and check whether it helps improve the Powerline Backhaul performance.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
