Hello:
I have a TL-R470T+ wan balancing router configured with a static IP for WAN1 and not using the WAN2 port.
I have 6 static IP's based on my 255.255.255.248 mask (/29)
I cannot bean into my router on any of the other IP addresses (.10-.14)

Can you please tell me what I cam doing incorrectly?

I'm wondering if I need to put a switch before my router and set the WAN2 port up with a different static IP....but that way, the most I could use would be 4?? Seems strange. (I would be OK with only using 4 if that is the correct approach)

Thank you for any assistance.

Ben

Thank you for thew reply.

This is not what I'/m trying to do; while reading over the posts yesterday there was someone who was looking for this exactl information though.

My situation should be much simpler. I have subscribed to 6 static IP addresses from my ISP, .9 through .14. (A 255.255.255.248 or /29 subnet mask)

I have entered .9 into my WAN config and everything works perfectly. The problem is that I now need to use another one of my static IP's for a different service. .10. let's say. I cannot reach my router from any of the static IP's except .9 I am looking for a way to be able to use a second private ip along with .9.

In other firewalls I have used, simply setting up the wan configuration with the /29 subnet is enough...but the TP=LINK R470 T+ doesn't seem to support this convention.

I hope this clarifies my issue more.
