Flashing blue light after firmware update
Flashing blue light after firmware update

Hi, I have the dreaded flashing blue light after I upgraded the firmware, I'm sure I did it right I had no issues when installing the previous firmware I have done all the usual stuff like factory reset and rebooting , it also won't connect to the internet and won't connect to the app either, can anyone help please.
Regards.

The device you have the deco app on it has internet yet, can you access web pages and things of the sort? The deco units did you buy them or were they provide by your ISP?

So one deco got it. How does the deco get it's internet from a modem? If so can the modem broadcast WiFI? IF yes then you can use the modems WiFI on your Ipad to get the deco app internet

If you believe that it is in fact bricked then you can try a firmware recovery - This would still require internet to download the firmware FYI
Here are the instructions

@Philindiss wow that's way too complicated for me, plus I don't have a windows computer, I have only had this router for a couple of months I have been very happy with it. I will try to get a replacement under the guarantee.
thanks for replying.

@Philindiss can someone confirm to me that you can't set up a deco x50 without a sim in the router using the app?

@Philindiss Hi, I have managed to un brick the x50 , in the app I pressed the plus button where you are given 3 options the first two didn't work but the third which was (create a new network) did I was finally able to connect to the x50 and go through the process, it's now running perfectly, it's also got the latest firmware installed, this might be useful to others who get stuck with the dreaded blue flashing light of doom.
