Re:led-controller[1409]: <6> 288051 Start to run WAN0_OFF

Hello @LordTerror ,

Welcome to our community.

Have you updated firmware recently? When did the unstable situation star occurring?

It seems that the WAN connection is unstable, please try the following suggestions:

  •  Connect a PC directly to your modem to verify if your ISP's Internet is stable.
  • Try a different cable between the router and ISP modem.
  •  Ensure the Ethernet cable connecting your modem to the Router is properly connected, and replace old wires with new ones.
  •  Please change the DNS Server of the Router, log in to the web management interface of the Router, go to Advanced > Network > Internet > Advanced Settings, and change the two DNS Servers to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4,  How to Change the DNS servers on the wireless router and DSL modem router (New UI)?

Best Regards.

  @Joseph-TP

For me, changing the DNS server does not help, the problem continues. I use an ONU EPON from my provider, I replaced it with a new one, the problem continues. The AX50 router was replaced with another router of another brand and this problem is gone. The other thing I noticed is that after resetting the router to factory settings, the problem disappears for 2-3 days and then starts again.

  @LordTerror  I am having a very similar problem with my Archer AX72, it start 1 or 2 months ago in my case beside the WAN 0 on and off repeatedly it also have issues with the DHCP from my ISP, having somehow losing connection and the right data from ISP then it goes with DHCP 0.0.0.0 flag 80. But I AM PRETTY SURE THIS START WITH TP LINK ROUTER, NOT WITH MY ISP.

Later i will try to run the router only with factory firmware, before this it was with the last firmware and then i try rollback one update but it was not solve.

If this continue i have one more TP link router from Aginet as Satellite in network with Easy Mesh, i will try to swap then in place and see if it will solve the issue.

Hello @LordTerror ,

Thanks for getting back to me.

May I know when you bought the router? It seems that the Archer AX50's WAN port may have poor contact.

Please contact local support for further help.

Hello @Pvsman ,

Welcome to our community.

Do you mean that you want to switch the main router and Archer AX72 for a comparison?  Have you created an EasyMesh network via Wireless Backhaul between the routers?

If it is Ethernet Backhaul, please connect to the LAN port of the satellite router.

I look forward to your reply with the test results.

  @Joseph-TP Hi, i have the AX72 as main router and one Aginet TP link Ex511 as extention to the network using Easy Mesh. So far the problem did not occur yet, it happens between 1 to 5-6 days, the AX complete freezes and i cannot even loggin to know what happen, only after reeboting it go back to normal until it start again.

Before all this i was still having another problem with the AX72, it was because the IP information comming from the ISP somehow stopped working given the DHCPC 0.0.0.0 e flag 80 and the WAN 0 switvh from on to off. Since then i change the IP from dinamic to static and also put my ISP modem to brigde mode.

I was hoping this would fix my issue but after a few days my internet stopped working and now the router completely freeze.

If the problem persist, i will try to swap the routers.

Hello @Pvsman ,

Thank you for your reply.

From the information you provided, both the Archer AX72 and Archer AX50 show WAN connectivity issues. This likely indicates a connection problem between the ISP modem and the router.
To rule this out, I suggest connecting your PC directly to the modem when the router's network connection is disconnected and comparing the results.

Alternatively, set the EX511 as the primary router for comparison.

  @Joseph-TP

For three days I have done the following: ONU EPON - switch not configured - AX50 and the problem with the WAN port disappeared! Most likely there is a software problem between the AX50 and the EOPN. The physical WAN port of the router now works correctly when it is not directly in the EOPN. Joseph-TP  Can I find the stock firmware for the Archer AX50 v1.0 somewhere so I can test it? Because before a few updates, this problem was gone.
