Geofencing is unreliable works intemittently
Ive bought 3 tapo cameras and have geofencing setup to take them off privacy mode when i leave an area around my house and to reactivate when i enter that area.
I have the automation setup correctly and triple verified it. I removed some "if" conditions to eliminate any snags.
Power settings for TAPO, GPS and my phone in general are all on full power options. No restriction. No sleeping app.
The geofencing feature seems to work very intermittently. The leave function works a bit more reliably but the return home function rarely works. I have tried all sorts of troubleshooting and settings alterations but i can not figure out what the problem is.
I am close to returning them if i cant rely on the geofencing feature to work.
I have pictures of my settings below. I dont know what if anything im missing. This should work more than it does.

Theyre getting you to beta test for them by downloading that link they sent.
ive read of others doing the same and they asked me to do it as well.
They simply can not get geofencing to work on android. it seems like its not a problem for iphone people.
I wish they would just be up front about it, you buy the cameras thinking the geofencing will work, you bash your head against the wall as it works then fails. you try all sorts of settings changes, post online in the forums, ask for help, get led along like it MIGHT be working soon.... and NOTHING.
its extremely aggrivating.
if you decide to give up and use a 2nd app, IFTTT makes the whole thing easy.
