Inquiry regarding Firmware Roadmap and Long-term Support for Archer BE800
Hi everyone,
I am currently using the Archer BE800 (running firmware 1.3.3 Build 20251015 rel.13041(4555), and while I am satisfied with its performance, I have some concerns regarding its long-term support.
My previous router was the AX11000, and I noticed that firmware updates for that model became very infrequent or stopped altogether much sooner than I anticipated for a flagship device. I am worried that the Archer BE800 might follow a similar path in a year or two.
I’ve been following the discussions regarding TP-Link’s update policy, specifically this topic: https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/858736?moduleId=32
Is there an official roadmap available for the Archer BE800? Specifically, I would like to know:
-
For how long can we expect regular feature updates and security patches?
-
Are there plans to maintain this model more consistently than previous flagship Wi-Fi 6 models?
I believe transparency regarding the product lifecycle would greatly benefit the community and help maintain trust in the brand.
Looking forward to your response.
Best regards,
Evert (BE800)
