Hi,

 

I have a TP-Link Archer C80 and a TP-Link Archer VR400 V3.

 

The Archer C80 supports EasyMesh, and the Archer VR400 V3 supports OneMesh. According to the documentation, these technologies should be compatible or able to work together.

 

However, when I start the EasyMesh setup wizard on the Archer C80, it does not detect the Archer VR400 at all.

 

Can you clarify why they are not connecting, and whether EasyMesh and OneMesh are actually compatible in this scenario?

Read this blog for start.

Onemesh is a TP-Link proprietary technology and that's why it's not compatible with the Easymesh standard.

However, you have a chance to make them work together - this can be achieved by using Onemesh device as a main router and Easymesh device as a satellite.

This can be done by the WPS method only. Keep in mind that Easymesh devece should be reset to its factory defaults vefore you star the procedure (Method 1).
