Hello,

I have tried resetting network settings on my iPhone, and at one point I was even able to connect to the MLO network. However, after some time the connection starts dropping and disconnecting.

The network becomes unstable, constantly switching, and eventually disconnects completely. After that, I am unable to reconnect — it either shows “incorrect password” or just a generic network error.

I have also seen similar issues reported on forums with previous iPhone models. Should I expect a fix or patch for the iPhone 17 Pro Max?

It is also worth noting that I am using the router together with a TP-Link RE655BE range extender, and the firmware is up to date on both devices.

During the initial setup, I noticed that the MLO settings were not copied from the router to the extender — I had to enable them manually and enter the same credentials as on the router. At the same time, all other networks were copied correctly, and in the extender settings it shows that the password was copied from the main device. All settings except MLO appear correctly.

Additionally, I am using the latest iOS version (26.4), in case this information is relevant.

Apple are aware that there were problems with MLO wifi introduced in iOS 26. They are on the case and will fix with updates eventually.

@terziyski You shared a post from a year ago that doesn’t provide a solution to the problem.
