Model : Hardware Version : Not ClearFirmware Version : ISP : Hi, I'm new to this forum! Just a bit of background to my problem, I'm an event photographer and we often cover horse shows outdoors. I shoot with a camera with a wireless transmitter ( I can be around 150 yards from my base) and I've got a WA7210N configured as AP Router which has the camera and a MacBook connected (photos are sent via FTP from camera to an FTP server running on the MacBook. There's an ANT2412 connected to the WA7210N (because I need omnidirectional wifi).This all works ok (although the antenna doesn't seem too good - I can download photos at 135mbps at 20 yards but only 5mbps max at 100 yards - set the distance to 200 yards and that didn't make any difference).Anyway - what I'd like to do is add a 4g router (M7350) and have the WA7210N set up as AP Client/Router so I can have internet connectivity with my setup - that way I can connect the MacBook to my website while at an event and upload photos to galleries. Any idea if these two devices are compatible? I've tried connecting to a mobile hotspot on a phone and the WA7210N could see it - but I couldn't connect to the Internet. Great if anyone could offer any advice please!

 First of all,[/B]please make sure you equip the external Omni-directional antenna properly and select the 'external antenna' option on Web-UI > Wireless > Wireless Advanced > Antenna Setting. About install guide refer to FAQ: http://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-1044.html
Then, since communication is birectional, although TL-WA7210N could cover far away, for mobile devices such as Macbook and camera, it could talk to AP within 100m as a result of limited transmit power. So in this case there is more likely it's the mobile devices that should be blamed.

Yes these two model are compatible. However, since M7350 is a portable mobie Wi-Fi, you can bring it in your pocket(around) to provide internet access for your Camera/Mackbook so you don't need TL-WA7210N anymore.

Thanks for your reply stupidbird - I picked up the M7350 and configured the WA7210N as client/router and it works ok :)Also I set the transmission power to the test mode and I'm now able to send data with a good speed from 150 metres - so very happy with the whole setup. Only other question - if I don't have the M7350 switched on the wifi strength indicators on the WA7210N don't work?

Scince you post Test Mode, you are using Beta FW
That one works very well, but has reading indicators bugs
Ignore them, enjoy

Yes. In AP Client Router mode on TL-WA7210N the LEDs indicate the front AP's signal strength so if the fron AP is off, no LED lits.
