BE400 Wifi Not Connecting After Update
Everything was working as intended since past 1 year until I updated my Archer BE400 yesterday to firmware 1.2.3 Build 20260107 rel.48335(5553) after a notification popped up in the router web management panel.
After the update I am not able to connect to 5ghz network if I keep my 2.4ghz wifi disabled. It keeps trying and then it fails if 2.4ghz is disabled. If I enable 2.4ghz even without auto mode the 5ghz starts working. The same happens if I disable 5ghz I am not able to connect to 2.4ghz. I have to keep both of them enabled for me to be able to connect to wifi. I only want 5ghz network but after the update I am not able to do that.
Everything was running fine before the update. I have tried the troubleshooting steps - power cycle, factory reset etc.
Please let me know how to proceed.

Hello @ashish7adlakha ,
Thanks for contacting our community.
May I know whether your router is in Access Point mode? If yes, please change it to wireless router mode. Then, please enable the EasyMesh feature: Go to Advanced > EasyMesh, and enable EasyMesh on the router.
Best Regards.

Yes my router is in access point mode and is connect via ethernet cable to my main(non tp-link) modem/router which was provided by my ISP. Before the update it was working fine in access point made with 2.4ghz disabled, what changed suddenly?
Also I want my main (non tp-link) modem/router which is provided by my ISP to act as DHCP server and control ip assignment so that all my devices remain in same subnet that is why I was using access point mode. I don't think wifi router modem + easy mesh will work for me or am I wrong?

If your main router is not a TP-Link device, most probably setting up an Easymesh won't work for you.
You can just enable the Easymesh feature on BE400 and test if there's any improvement in your case.
I believe there's some kind of an issue with the latest Firmware Version: 1.2.3 Build 20260107 rel.48335(5553)

As you can see from the comment above that another user is also facing similar issue. It might be an issue in the 1.2.3 firmware. Can you please let me know how to downgrade to older firmware or if a hotfix firmware can be provided by the tech team?

Hello @ashish7adlakha ,
Thank you for your reply.
Our previous recommendation—to configure the BE400 to Wireless Router mode and enable EasyMesh—was intended as a temporary workaround.
The relevant department has identified the root cause of this anomaly and will release a firmware update shortly to resolve this unexpected behavior.
We will post any updates here.
