As I believe is is from 2020.

Online Upgrade
Latest Version:
1.16.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 191223 Rel.66638n
Your firmware is up to date
I would like to able to choose from these available bands:
700 MHz (Band 28),
800MHz (Band 20),
900MHz (Band 8),
1800MHz (Band 3),
2100MHz (Band 1),
2600MHz (Band 7),
Or are there any plans for an official release with manual band selection?

Hi,
Please refer to the instructions below to check the hardware and version(EU, US, etc.) on the bottom label of your TL-MR6400. If you have TL-MR6400 (EU) v4, you can try the firmware "TL-MR6400(EU) V3/V4 LTE_GATEWAY_20200325" on your router.
How to Find the Hardware Version on Your TP-Link Device
You can go to our official website > TL-MR6400 V4's Specifications page to see the network types the router supports.

Thank you for your quick reply.
Yes, the label under router does read MR6400 (EU) v4.
So, if I try to install the firmware, I should have no problem?
Or it will give me an error message that it can't install?
As I do not want to brick the router!
Also thanks for the specs link, I see that band 28 is not mentioned for MR6400 (EU) v4.

Hi,
This beta firmware has undergone multiple rounds of testing and is confirmed to be compatible with the TL-MR6400(EU) v4; usually, it won't cause any issues. If the firmware is incompatible with your specific model & version, an error message will appear during the upgrade, and the router will not be bricked.
