TP-Link range extender not working with Starlink (RE190 / RE305)
Hello,
I’m having a problem connecting my TP-Link range extenders to my Starlink Wi-Fi and I can’t figure out what is wrong.
I have a standard Starlink Gen 4 setup and I’m trying to extend my Wi-Fi using a TP-Link range extender (RE190 model). I also tried another one (RE305 model) from a friend, but I get the same issue with both.
I installed the TP-Link app and followed the setup process to connect it to my Starlink network. I also searched online and tried splitting the Starlink Wi-Fi into separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks to make the setup easier.
The extender appears to connect to the Starlink network during setup, but once it’s done, none of the Wi-Fi signal lights (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz) turn on. Only the power light is on.
When I connect to the TP-Link network created by the extender, there is no internet access at all.
I have tried resetting both extenders and repeating the setup multiple times, but the result is always the same:
Power light is on
No 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz signal lights
No internet access through the extender network
I’m starting to wonder if there is some kind of compatibility issue between Starlink and TP-Link extenders, or if Starlink is blocking the connection in some way.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I’ve been trying to fix this for quite a long time.
Thank you so much !👍🏻
