Model: EAP650-Desktop
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 3.6

Hi all,

Recently been trying to setup a EAP650-Desktop for multi-SSID (some 2.4GHz and some 5Ghz). When setting up 2.4GHz from a factory reset no issues. But the moment I try and connect to a 5GHz SSID the entire device crashes (including if connected via Ethernet port). Power light at the front will flash orange one, one next to it will flash, and then usually both will turn off for a second before coming back on. Once this happens, I am unable to properly connect to anything until completing a factory reset and setting up the EAP from scratch. When connected via Ethernet the connection will return for a few seconds before dropping again in a consistent cycle. WiFi networks also intermittently reappear when discovering but will vanish again too fast to actually connect to them.

Device is connected via 12V Adaptor rather than POE, although when I tried the supplied POE injector, the device doesn't appear to turn on at all.

Edit: Self-caused issue due to using a very similar but wrong power adaptor

I am curious about your location.  I have several EAP650-Desktop devices here and all are version 1.  However, they did not come with a PoE injector and the latest firmware is v1.1.1 Build 20251105 Rel. 53536.
