Cannot connect to open network using WN822 V3 and latest drivers for OSX

Hello, when I try connecting to a network with no security configured, to which my other adapter can connect without any issue, the tp link utility shows an icon with the wifi bars and a red cross over them. There is no connectivity when this happens. Is anyone having a similar problem, or can help me finding out what the problem is and how to solve it? I am not even sure about where this driver is storing logs. Thank you in advance!
I am using MacOS 10.11 with the latest official drivers.
