Hi
Searching for many hours at last I found these beta firmwares from TP-Link that solves connection drop or standby problems on my adapters. I both use 8010 and 8030. So you may interest for these firmwares. I uploaded them to my drive.
TL-PA8010P(EU)-170330-2.2.3-BETA
[*]TL-PA8030P(EU)-170616-2.2.3-BETA
[*]TL-PA8030P(UK)-170616-2.2.3-BETA

I added new NVM version 2.4.0 to drive. This new firmware solves connection lost issues. Tested.
TL-PA8010P(EU)-170330-2.4.0-BETA
[*]TL-PA8030P(EU)-170616-2.4.0-BETA
[*]TL-PA8030P(UK)-170616-2.4.0-BETA
Sorry its for v1 devices.

These disconnection problems have been bugging me and I don't want to replace my adapters. They work fine besides the constant disconnects without ping, and I really don't want to keep pinging the default gateway.

I've noticed that speed of connection in this 2.2.4 is more slower than in TL-PA8010P(EU)-170330-2.2.3-BETA. For example speed of connection using TL-PA8010P(EU)-170330-2.2.3-BETA firmware in my room is higher than 900Mb/s ...but using this 2.2.4 is only about 620Mb/s :(

Actual payload throughput and connection stability are consistently better with those competitor products, and that aggressive speed negotiation may be part of the reason why. It looks good, but isn't actually good.

Does anyone have these files anymore? The original google link is dead.
Yes, refer to Freddy2a's post #25. Unfortunately I can't seem to easily embed a link to his post.
Anyhow, I'm sure you'll find it and his Google Drive link is still working.
Just realised in another thread you are asking for the US version. The one I downloaded (EU) works perfectly on the UK v1 unit. It may be possible to modify for US - perhaps someone else can confirm if this is feasible.

Hi All, i know this is marked as solved but meh. I found this post first, then also Chaos2oo2 post over at https://forum.tp-link.com/showthread.php?93685-Firmwareupdate-for-TP-PL8030P/page9
Basically he states combining the PIB from the 2.4 file hosted by Freddy with the NVM on the latest BIOS version of TL-PA8010 (the non passthrough version which has the same chipset). He confirms this works for EU Adaptors and I have just completed it on UK adaptors (v1)
I've bundled the files together for convenience, may be worth updating the TP-Link app software before doing the upgrade. I jumped from the official 2_0 to the 2_6.
The update does take a little while so be patient, and as always this is done at your own risk and may void warranty etc etc. Personally I was going to bin these if it didn't work anyway :)
As others mentioned with the 2_4 beta update I did notice a drop in reported line speed, but I think this may be more accurately reported now, as the reported speed doesn't fluctuate as much and there are no connection issues
Once again this is reported working for UK and EU v1 plugs. Hope its of use to someone

Thanks bobsnail. My problem was slightly different in that one of the adaptors would show a red light on one of the powerline leds and would never resolve to connect properly. In the utility it would appear as 6-11mpbs but then turn to a question mark. I tried a lot of things over several hours. I was able to get the devices upgrade but I'm still at the same position unfortunately.
EDIT: it seems like the upgrade inverts the power and network led functions. Nothing serious, just something to keep in mind.

Thanks for the update and hard work @ bobsnail and Chaos2oo2.
I just stitched together a 2.6.0.22 firmware for the EU V1 TL-PA8030P Kit and updated my devices. Everything is working fine!
If anyone wants to try, you can download the firmware from the link below:
