Model: TL-WPA7510 KIT
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

I used to be able to setup the wifi on the 7510 (change SSID and password) succesfully using the web interface. Recently switched internet provider and have now a new router with builtin DHCP server providing IP addresses 192.168.1.x

Would like to change the SSID and password for new use. Recently downloaded the tpPLC utility V1.2.3909.1 (I have macOS 11.6.2). It shows the extenders (8E64 is the 7510) but the wifi settings are not available:

The online help suggest to use the web interface, however web access via http://tplinkpc.net gives a page with the "It looks like you may have run into an issue" message.

I have my MacBook Pro  only connected to the wifi provided by the 7510 (which is a different SSID as the one from the internet wifi router), my setup is as depicted in the picture below, I have internet connectivity:

Using  terminal I ran:

$ nslookup

> tplinkplc.net

Server: 2001:568:ff09:10c::68

Address: 2001:568:ff09:10c::68#53

Non-authoritative answer:

Name: tplinkplc.net

Address: 3.224.42.34

What am I missing to get access to wifi settings?

Hello  @PeBo

Thank you for your detailed post.

  • Please try to use IP of wireless powerline unit to log in its web page

Wireless powerline unit will get an IP address from router, and that IP could be found in router client list

  • Try a different web browser and use the full domain address to login ' http://tplinkplc.net  '

For tpPLC Utility does not show Wireless option:

  • Confirm TL-WPA7510 is the on the latest firmware as well

Can I know the model of your Mac computer?Thank you.

  @Solla-topee
While my router has a page showing IP and MAC addresses of connected devices (both wired and wifi), the 7510 doesn't appear. Even if I connect the 7510 directly with an ethernet cable to an ethernet port on the router (no additional switches in between).

- I tried several different browsers on http://tplinkplc.net, but get the exact same result.

- I have downloaded the latest version of the firmware, which gives me a .bin file. However the tpPLC utility is asking for a GGL file.  The method with the web management interface obviously is not available as I can't connect using a browser.

I have a 2020 MacBook Pro 13" M1.
