I am writing to strongly request the development of a dedicated Windows/Desktop application for managing Deco mesh networks.

As a Systems Engineer, I currently oversee and manage multiple Deco networks across several office locations and residential sites. While the Deco mobile app is great for quick home setups, it falls short when it comes to professional or heavy-day-to-day network monitoring and management.

Why a Desktop App is Essential:

  • Multi-Network Efficiency: Switching between multiple office and home networks on a mobile screen is slow and cumbersome. A desktop interface would allow for faster navigation, tabbed views, or multi-window management.

  • Continuous System Monitoring: Network administrators need dedicated desktop dashboard screens to monitor network traffic, connected clients, and system logs continuously while working on PCs.

  • Power-User Productivity: Typing, configuring static IPs, managing port forwarding rules, and organizing dozens of connected client devices is significantly faster and less error-prone with a physical keyboard and mouse.

The Deco ecosystem is fantastic, but limiting management strictly to a mobile app creates a major bottleneck for users managing larger setups or multiple locations.

To the Community:

If you also manage multiple Deco networks or need a proper desktop interface for daily monitoring, please upvote this post and reply below so the TP-Link development team sees the demand!

Thanks!
