Hello @kereman ,
Welcome to our community.
This happens because data has to travel over two wireless hops: Device ⇄ Extender ⇄ Router. So the speeds you're seeing (70–100 Mbps) may not necessarily indicate a fault with the device.
That said, here are some steps to help improve performance:
1. Assign a different SSID to the extender's 5 GHz band and connect to that specifically to test if speeds improve.
2. Reposition the extender and adjust its antennas for better signal. You can find detailed placement guidance here: How to Place Your TP-Link Wi-Fi Extender for the Best Signal and Performance
For accurate speed testing, use the Speedtest app (https://www.speedtest.net/apps/) or website (http://www.speedtest.net).
Regarding the range, this is likely a placement issue. Try the following:
1. Reposition the extender and adjust its antennas — the placement guide above applies here too.
2. Make sure the extender's firmware is updated to the latest version.
If 6 GHz is not showing up, make sure the extender is connected to the router's 6 GHz band as its uplink during setup.
If the problem persists after trying these steps, we recommend contacting your Service Provider who supplied the EB810v or local support, as they will provide the necessary assistance.
