Model : Archer VR2600

Hardware Version : 1

Firmware Version : 160831

ISP : Mynetfone (reselling Optus via FTTN on NBN)

Hi guys.

I've upgraded from a TP-Link TD-VG5612 to a brand new Archer VR2600. I bought one of the first units sold in Australia - it comes with what seems to be specific Australian firmware.

Here's the problem. Using identical settings to the prior modem, the VR2600 will connect with my FTTN ISP, but its internet connectivity dies. Here's a step-by-step of what happens.

The VDSL sync works just fine, establishing a stable connection that is actually a little faster than the TD-VG5612.
The PPPoE login works fine.
It gets its IP address and DNS addresses from the ISP, just fine.
The status screen shows the internet as 'connected'.
After less than 30 seconds it can no longer access the internet - even though everything remains connected.
The status screen will later report 'disconnected' even though sync is stable and the IP address allocated by the ISP is still showing.

I can rule out any client problem. On one attempt I quickly managed to get the VR2600 to check for new firmware. It reported that there wasn't any. 15 seconds later I attempted the same thing again, and it reported that it couldn't check.

My internet provider (Mynetfone - an Optus reseller on the NBN in Australia) tells me that its service is not locked to any particular product or MAC address (although I did try the VR2600 with 'spoofing' the prior modem's MAC address - no difference).

Is anyone else experiencing this? I appreciate that the VR2600 is a brand new product in Australia, and it might be some kind of teething problem that TP-Link needs to fix. But if anyone has overcome similar issues, even with another product, I'd like to know how you did it.

Have you check the log and the status of your DSL line? Maybe your can post them here.

There isn't much logging available on this model so I'm not sure it will pick up where the problem is, but I can try!

OK, here is the log. It begins at powering on the modem and ends with the internet service disconnected, while still having sync.
