@mawa SAme here. Bought te C200 today. Thinking of returning it as there seems to be no perspective for this feature in the future.

I too second the request fpr PTZ via ONVIF or another protocol other than the app.

I will keep the camera but with the mandatory couplig to the app its use is very limited

For anyone that has Home Assistant installed, there is now a comunity integration available that gives you much more control without needing the app, except for its initial set up. Fortunatelty the inept coders at TP-Link apparently made it relatively easy to reverse engineer the command codes etc. Once connected you can block its access to the internet to keep everything internal.

It's not yet 100% feature rich yet, and it improves constantly, but it does plenty like movement, enabling/disabling motion detection/privacy, switching stored postions. More info can be found here: https://github.com/JurajNyiri/HomeAssistant-Tapo-Control

Full ONVIF compliance (so including PTZ support) would be very much appreciated!

@mawa The latest Firmware Version 1.1.7 appears to be onvif compliant. I have used a raspberry pi and node red to pan and tilt the Tapo C200 camera. For further information on the nodes needed see GitHub - bartbutenaers/node-red-contrib-onvif-nodes: Node Red nodes for communicating with OnVif compliant IP devices

@PdeJ I tried to apps after updating and can move left, right, down but not up for some reason, is this the same for you? The presets all seem to work though.

@PdeJ  Thank you for the update! Yes it works!! :-D

@Taomyn I tried it with iSpy and the iSpy Agent and it works fine - even down.

Seriously? Please tell me that there is a way to turn off the new "tapo"-watermark in the lower left corner...

@Jayardee

I'm using Netcam Studio and even after the new firmware update, PTZ doesn't work.

Any idea how to enable this feature? I've tried to add the camera again, however, none of the ONVIF profiles comes with PTZ enabled.

@czguy Hmm, I tried it with Netcam Studio X and while the connection is no problem and I instantly get the image. But like you I can't get the PTZ-controls to work.
As said before, it works with with other programs like iSpy.
