Implemented Tapo C200 / permission calls for a shared device
Dear all
Is it possible to give a shared device the permission to make calls / speak with the camera? This would be very important if we want to use the camera as a baby monitor.

Hello everyone,
Thank you for sharing ideas regarding shared account permissions on Tapo camera.
- Tapo APP allows logging in admin account (TP-Link ID/ email address being used to set up your smart device) on multiple mobile devices, if a second mobile device needs the full permissions of camera, like Talk/ Call/ Pan & Tilt etc., you could log in admin account using same email address and password on that device.
- At this time, shared account could only access Live view and Playback as FAQ explained here:

Your suggestion here for shared account permission improvement will be record regularly and forwarded to the appropriate team for consideration.
If you request the same feature, feel free to share more detailed usage scenario like who would you like to share to and what person will need the Talk/ Voice Pan & Tilt feature or do you think if adding a toggle of admin authorization to the shared account will help etc., Those will help us understand better of your request and set priority when this topic being raised with the Product team.

Hello everyone,
We have the latest Tapo app(Android 2.15.510 or above, iOS 2.15.503 or above) that supports sharing the Tapo camera with up to 5 different accounts, and these accounts have the Live View, Talk, Voice Call, Pan& Tilt, and Playback&Memory features enabled(The doorbell camera also has Quick response and Ringcall features enabled) but unable to change other camera settings. Welcome everyone to upgrade to the latest Tapo app if needed.
This thread will be closed to encourage our new users to start a new thread here to get help if have any problems when using the Tapo Cam or start a new thread here if have any new feedback about the Tapo Cam.
Feel free to share more detailed usage scenarios about your problem/request, and these will help us understand and assist your problem/request better, and more community users can take a closer to your case and help either.

This is also my requirement. There should be some option to give permissions to shared devices so that they can also call and change the camera direction. This is very important feature.

I would love to have this feature too.
If we share the device, we should be able to give permissions for the person to control the device, otherwise what's the point?
Also, the other person can't turn off the detection notifications for this shared camera. Could you please fix that?

How long is gonna take to implement this? I'm planning to buy another 3 or 4 cameras for my home but without this feature I will have to look for another brand.
